Full Job Description

Position Summary

Modus is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager – Creative Operations & Events to lead the execution of the company's creative marketing initiatives while ensuring operational excellence across the marketing department.

This role serves as the primary project manager for creative production, customer-facing marketing initiatives, trade shows, events, website updates, photography, and video production. Working closely with the VP of Marketing, this individual will direct creative workflows, manage agency and vendor relationships, and coordinate cross-functional projects that bring the Modus brands to life.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional project manager with a strong creative eye—someone who can organize complex initiatives while inspiring designers, photographers, videographers, writers, and agency partners to consistently produce outstanding work.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Operations & Project Management

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all creative marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

Manage the execution of creative marketing projects from concept through completion.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
Coordinate priorities across designers, content creators, photographers, videographers, agencies, and production partners.
Co-lead weekly creative planning meetings and establish departmental priorities.
Identify opportunities to improve creative workflows and marketing operations.
Ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Modus brand standards.

Creative Marketing & Content Development

Project manage the development of compelling marketing assets that support sales, product launches, and business growth.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate the creation of:
Case studies
Customer success stories
Sales presentations
Product collateral
Print marketing materials
Presentation decks
Provide creative direction and constructive feedback throughout the development process.
Ensure all deliverables reflect the Modus brand, messaging, and quality standards.
Partner with the VP of Marketing to establish creative priorities and campaign direction.

Customer Creative Services

Serve as the primary marketing contact for customer-facing creative requests supporting the sales organization.

Responsibilities include:

Manage customer renderings, presentation decks, mockups, and custom marketing materials from request through delivery.
Coordinate projects between Sales, Marketing, Design, and Operations.
Oversee custom print projects and customer-specific creative assets.
Ensure customer deliverables meet expectations for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.

Trade Show & Event Management

Lead the planning and execution of Modus's trade show and event marketing programs.

Responsibilities include:

Annual Planning

Research industry trade shows and sponsorship opportunities.
Develop and maintain the annual trade show calendar.
Evaluate events based on strategic objectives, audience, budget, and ROI.

Event Execution

Project manage all aspects of each event, including:

Booth planning and logistics
Exhibit graphics
Furniture and exhibit rentals
Registration and event applications
Shipping coordination
Product inventory
Sales materials
Vendor coordination
Project schedules

Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Design to ensure flawless execution.

Customer Activations & Experiential Marketing

Support Modus's growing portfolio of customer activations and sponsorship programs.

Responsibilities include:

Project manage customer activations from concept through execution.
Coordinate branded experiences and sponsorship opportunities.
Manage event logistics, vendors, schedules, and creative assets.

Website Management

Oversee the day-to-day execution of website improvements.

Responsibilities include:

Partner with the VP of Marketing to prioritize website enhancements.
Coordinate implementation with external development partners.
Manage website content updates.
Coordinate quarterly maintenance and ongoing quality assurance.
Recommend improvements that strengthen the user experience and support business objectives.

Photography & Video Production

Lead the planning and coordination of all visual content production.

Responsibilities include:

Project manage photography and video projects from concept through final delivery.
Coordinate content capture for:
Product launches
Customer installations
Trade shows
Customer events
Activations
Website
Social media
Sales materials
Develop production schedules and shot lists.
Coordinate photographers, videographers, editors, production companies, and freelance partners.
Ensure all visual content reflects Modus's brand standards and creative vision.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
5–8+ years of marketing project management, creative operations, integrated marketing, or event marketing experience.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead creative teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Experience directing agencies, designers, photographers, videographers, and production vendors.
Experience planning and executing trade shows, customer events, and experiential marketing initiatives.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product Development, and Executive Leadership.

Preferred Experience

HubSpot CRM.
WordPress content management.
Adobe Creative Suite familiarity.
B2B product marketing.
Vendor and agency management.
