About Us

We are a South Florida electrical contracting company specializing in commercial construction, office build-outs, healthcare facilities, government contracts, and unique special projects. Our team takes pride in delivering quality work, on time and on budget, with a focus on safety, collaboration, and long-term client relationships.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Electrical Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. The PM will own safety, schedule (CPM), budget, procurement, and client/GC coordination while partnering closely with Superintendents/Foremen, Project Engineers/APMs, and vendors. This is a full-time in-office role based in Tamarac, FL with local travel to jobsites for meetings, walks, inspections, and turnovers.

Key Responsibilities

Plan & schedule the work: Build and maintain Critical Path Schedules incorporating gear and lighting packages lead times
Financial control: Manage budgets, cost-to-complete, change events/orders, and monthly billings; track committed vs. forecast costs and drive cash-flow targets.
Documentation & change management: Oversee submittals, RFIs, ASIs, meeting minutes, punchlists, O&M manuals, and closeout packages; keep logs current and aligned to contract requirements.
Procurement: Coordinate buyouts; release and track gear, lighting, specialty systems, and prefabrication
Field coordination: Partner with Superintendents and Foremen on look-aheads, manpower planning, material staging, inspections, shutdowns/outages, and QA/QC.
Stakeholder management: Lead OAC/subcontractor meetings; maintain proactive communication with owners, GCs, design teams, and AHJs.
Safety & quality: Champion company safety policies and quality standards; support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), site audits, and corrective actions.

Qualifications (Required)

Experience: 5+ years managing electrical construction projects (commercial/healthcare/education/public works or similar).
Field foundation: Prior electrical field or field-adjacent experience (e.g., Foreman, Assistant PM/PE with jobsite involvement).
Technical: Working knowledge of the NEC, electrical systems, drawings/specs, and coordination with other trades.
Tools: Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Bluebeam; ability to build/update CPM schedules in MS Project (Primavera a plus).
Communication & leadership: Proven ability to lead internal teams and coordinate with external stakeholders; strong organization and follow-through.
Driver’s license & travel: Valid driver’s license; ability to travel locally to jobsites as needed.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical/Construction Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered).
Experience with Procore (or similar PM software), cost/resource-loading, design-build/VDC, healthcare or mission-critical environments.

Work Environment

In-office role with field/site visits as needed (PPE required).
