Professional Monitor (On-Site)

Location: Madison, WI

About Night Owl Support Systems

Night Owl Support Systems, LLC (NOSS) provides innovative support services that help individuals with disabilities maintain independence in their own homes. Using in-home technology, our Professional Monitors oversee alerts and activity from our central monitoring station, ensuring safety and peace of mind. When support is needed, our team coordinates assistance, including dispatching professional responders.

At NOSS, we believe in blending technology with compassionate support to give individuals the freedom and dignity of living independently while knowing help is always available.

About the Role – Professional Monitor

As a Professional Monitor, you’ll be at the heart of our mission: ensuring the safety and well-being of people who rely on remote support. Working on-site at our Madison monitoring station, you will oversee in-home sensor technology and coordinate assistance following established protocols. This position requires focus, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Schedule:

Overnights (12:30am - 8:30am); minimum 16 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor in-home technology.
Assess various situations and follow established written protocols to ensure safety.
Communicate effectively with clients, responders, families, and team members.
Provide oversight and direction to responding staff when necessary.
Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication.
Perform basic troubleshooting on electronic monitoring equipment.
Attend required staff meetings and ongoing training.
Carry out other duties as assigned by the NOSS management team.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to reliably commute to Madison, WI required.
Strong customer service skills & phone etiquette required.
Previous experience in an office environment with administrative responsibilities required.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in roles requiring strong attention to detail.
Experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
Ability to be certified in CPR, First Aid, HIPAA, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of abuse/neglect policies and proper reporting procedures.
General comfort with technology (navigating complex software, word processing, internet use, etc.).
No record of convictions for offenses substantially related to job duties.
