Sunstates Security is hiring an experienced Full-Time Armed Site Supervisor / Account Lead at a client site in the Washington, D.C. area. This position offers a pay rate of $27.68/hr, paid weekly.
We're here to support a prominent non-profit organization in Washington, D.C. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role requiring strong leadership, sound judgment, professional communication, and the ability to drive daily security operations.
This position is best suited for a security professional who can operate beyond a traditional officer role and assist with managing the site-level security program, officer accountability, client communication, incident response, and overall operational execution.

Position Overview
The Security Supervisor / Account Manager will be responsible for:

Supporting and driving the daily security program at a prominent Washington, D.C. non-profit location.

Serving as a site-level leader for security operations, officer performance, and client support.

Maintaining a professional armed security presence in a high-profile and public-facing environment.

Ensuring officers follow post orders, emergency procedures, client expectations, and Sunstates Security standards.

Communicating clearly and professionally with Sunstates leadership, client contacts, staff, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders.

Identifying security concerns, operational gaps, training needs, and performance issues, then assisting with corrective action.

Representing Sunstates Security with professionalism, discretion, and accountability.
Primary Responsibilities

Lead unarmed security operations at a high-profile non-profit account in Washington, D.C.

Serve as a site-level security leader responsible for daily execution, officer accountability, and client support.

Ensure compliance with post orders, emergency procedures, licensing requirements, and Sunstates Security standards.

Maintain a professional, visible, and approachable armed security presence.
-
Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, suspicious activity, and client requests.
-
Conduct site inspections, patrol reviews, access control checks, and security assessments.

Review daily reports, incident reports, pass-down logs, and other required documentation.

Communicate promptly and professionally with client contacts, Sunstates leadership, officers, and emergency responders.

Identify staffing concerns, training gaps, performance issues, and operational risks, then help drive corrective action.

Support special events, after-hours needs, emergency coverage, and heightened security operations as required.

Minimum Requirements.

Must be able to work in Washington, D.C.

Must possess or be able to obtain all required D.C. security credentials, licensing, and certifications.

Prior security leadership, site supervision, account lead, military, law enforcement, government security, or executive protection experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Must be able to complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and client-facing communication.

Must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, sound judgment, and strong situational awareness.

Must be comfortable working in a high-profile, mission-driven, and inclusive environment.

Must be available to support emergencies, special events, weekends, holidays, or after-hours needs as required.
Preferred Qualifications

Large unarmed security management experience within the Washington, D.C. market.

Experience supporting non-profit, advocacy, corporate, government, embassy, association, or high-profile client environments.

Prior experience managing officers, schedules, post coverage, training, and account-level expectations.

Knowledge of D.C. security requirements and professional security operations; District 1 Secret Service + Police response.

Experience with access control, visitor management, alarm response, incident escalation, and emergency procedures.

Strong report writing, documentation review, and pass-down communication skills.

Ability to support a client environment where discretion, professionalism, and inclusivity are essential.

Schedule / Coverage Expectations

Full-time leadership role supporting a high-profile Washington, D.C. account.

Schedule may include assigned shifts, special events, after-hours incidents, emergency response, weekends, holidays, and operational coverage needs.

Flexibility is required based on client activity, account needs, and heightened security operations.

Candidate must understand this role requires ownership of the security function, not simply post coverage.
This role requires ownership of the security program and may require flexibility beyond a traditional post schedule based on client and operational needs.
A Site Supervisor may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Site Supervisor must read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
