Role
We're seeking a highly skilled ICT Designer to join our team. In this remote role, you'll support the design and delivery of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems for a variety of markets, including healthcare, education, data centers, corporate, government, critical infrastructure, and transportation facilities. You'll collaborate with consultants, project managers, BIM staff, architects, and clients to develop innovative technology solutions that support mission-critical business and operational needs.
What You’ll Be Doing

Design telecommunication cabling infrastructure, structured cabling systems, and communication networks for new construction and renovation projects.

Develop technology system designs for wireless networks (Wi-Fi), distributed antenna systems (DAS), emergency responder communications enhancement systems (ERCES), audiovisual systems, nurse call systems, and other low-voltage technologies.
- Produce construction-ready documentation in Revit and AutoCAD, including floor plans, device layouts, rack elevations, single-line diagrams, details, schedules, and specifications.
- Develop basis of design narratives, design reports, and CSI-format specifications that align with project requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in client meetings, programming sessions, site surveys, and field investigations to gather requirements and validate existing conditions.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, BIM staff, and project stakeholders to deliver integrated technology design packages.
- Support the full project lifecycle through design development, construction documentation, bidding support, submittal reviews, RFI responses, construction administration, and project closeout.
- Apply QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across project deliverables.
- Stay current with emerging ICT technologies, industry trends, and applicable codes and standards.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery and team efficiency.
What We’re Looking For

Working knowledge of structured cabling, telecommunications rooms, data center infrastructure, wireless systems and related ICT technologies.

Understanding of technology design standards and codes, including BICSI, NEC, NFPA, EIA/TIA, and related industry guidelines.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and client-focused approach.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability and delivering high quality work.
- Knowledge of BIM workflows and interdisciplinary coordination.
Education/Experience Requirements
-
5–7 years of ICT, low-voltage, or technology systems design experience within the AEC industry.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing construction documents and technical specifications for ICT and low voltage systems.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Experience utilizing Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, Smartsheet, or similar project collaboration tools.
- Industry certifications such as BICSI RCDD, CTS, PSP, or related credentials are preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Successfully contributes to multiple ICT projects from design development through construction administration, delivering high-quality work that meets project schedules and standards.

Demonstrates proficiency in Exante360 standards, workflows, project delivery processes, and design tools while producing coordinated construction documents with minimal QA/QC revisions.

Builds strong working relationships with project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients, serving as a reliable and collaborative contributor.
- Establishes technical expertise in one or more ICT disciplines such as structured cabling, wireless systems, DAS, ERCES, audiovisual, or healthcare technologies.
- Effectively participates in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration activities.
