Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Computer Support Specialist to join our IT team! In this role, you will be the frontline hero for technical support, ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will help troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts, and maintain our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users across various departments, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly
Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory, ensuring secure access controls and account provisioning
Administer Windows Server environments, including system updates, backups, and performance monitoring
Maintain computer hardware by troubleshooting malfunctions, performing upgrades, and coordinating repairs as needed
Support computer networking tasks such as LAN (Local Area Network) setup, VPN (Virtual Private Network) configurations, firewalls, and network security measures
Assist with operating systems including Windows and macOS, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance
Utilize help desk tools like ServiceNow or Jira to track incidents, document solutions, and improve support workflows

Requirements

Proven experience in technical support or IT support roles with a strong understanding of computer management practices
Hands-on experience with system administration tasks on Windows Server and Linux platforms
Proficiency in hardware maintenance, troubleshooting software issues, and operating systems such as Windows and macOS
Knowledge of Active Directory management for user account control and security policies
Familiarity with computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPN access, firewalls, and network security protocols
Strong communication skills to effectively assist users at all levels with patience and clarity
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar are preferred but not required
