Solar Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Remote (U.S.)

$200,000 - $250,000

We are working with a rapidly scaling infrastructure developer at the forefront of powering next-generation technologies. Focused on delivering large-scale, high-performance energy and data infrastructure, the business is redefining how critical projects are designed, built, and deployed at speed and scale.

With an ambitious pipeline spanning utility-scale solar and energy storage integrated with data center developments, this organization is building a new model for delivering gigawatt-level capacity. The team is driven by first-principles thinking, operational excellence, and a commitment to accelerating infrastructure that will shape the future of technology and energy.

We are seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects supporting major data center developments.

You will take full ownership of project execution from development handoff through to commercial operation, ensuring delivery across schedule, budget, scope, and risk. This role requires strong leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, with responsibility for multiple concurrent sites.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing full lifecycle delivery of solar and solar-plus-storage projects
Developing and maintaining integrated project schedules (Primavera P6 / MS Project)
Owning project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and earned value reporting
Leading contract management including RFPs, bid evaluation, EPC awards, and change orders
Driving mitigation strategies for critical path risks (transformers, inverters, switchgear, BESS systems, interconnection milestones)
Acting as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, lenders, and external partners
Leading and scaling site teams including construction managers, engineers, and field staff
Overseeing multiple active project sites simultaneously while maintaining delivery standards

Qualifications

Proven track record delivering utility-scale solar or solar-plus-storage projects from NTP through COD
Strong working knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, substation, and grid interconnection scopes
Experience managing project budgets, contingency, and change orders
Familiarity with U.S. interconnection processes such as CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, or MISO
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Experience leading high-performing project teams across multiple sites
Beneficial - PMP certification or equivalent, Experience with BESS and substation construction, Multi-state portfolio delivery experience, Exposure to lender reporting and project finance environments
