Sales Territory Manager
The Light Connection, Inc. (TLC)
Oriskany, NY

Position Overview
The Light Connection, Inc. (TLC), a U.S.-based manufacturer of fiber optic cable, is seeking a driven Sales Territory Manager to grow and manage an assigned territory.

This is not an order-taking role. This position is for someone who can hunt, close, and build long-term relationships. You will be responsible for expanding existing accounts, developing new business, and driving measurable revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is competitive, results-oriented, and capable of learning technical products quickly.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow an assigned sales territory
Develop new business through outreach, networking, and relationship building
Expand existing accounts and increase share of wallet
Prepare quotes, proposals, and product solutions
Negotiate pricing, terms, and close business
Maintain pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity
Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of an Associate’s degree required
1–3+ years of sales experience (B2B or manufacturing preferred)
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Strong written communication skills (emails, proposals, customer correspondence)
Strong phone skills and comfort with outbound calling
Ability to learn technical products and communicate effectively with customers
High energy and enthusiasm with a positive, driven attitude
Ability to take feedback and a strong desire to continuously improve
Ability to work in a team environment
Comfortable handling pressure in a fast-paced, results-driven role
Professional presence and ability to represent the company effectively with customers
Self-motivated and organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Travel required within assigned territory

Compensation

Base Salary: Starting at $45,000
Commission: Uncapped, performance-based
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $85,000

Pay: $45,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
