Position Description

ITS is the world’s number-one supplier of information and services to the multi-billion-dollar gaming industry, including the most popular network of free gaming portal sites on the web, casinocity.com, with millions of visitors monthly, and an interactive guide to more than 4,000 casinos and gaming properties around the globe. We also have a thriving Web consulting business, ITS Interactive. This role will have exciting web development challenges from both business lines.

As a Senior Web Developer, you’ll be working with the latest .Net technologies. You’ll be involved in the building out of new applications for our in-house brands and client websites. You will also have the opportunity to develop expertise in Search Engine Optimization. You’ll have the latitude to work independently and add value creatively as you research and discover innovative ways to solve technical problems to meet increasingly complex industry and internal system challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Develop highly intuitive and professional interfaces utilizing HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, and custom scripting languages.
Contribute to specific front-end web development efforts as specified by group lead.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and researchers to refine the user experience.
Work closely with engineers across the organization to improve and maintain multi-tiered web-based applications.
Comply with process methodologies including source control, unit testing, and coding standards for HTML and CSS.
Perform basic requirements of testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in a dynamic production environment.
Develop your back-end programming skills to contribute beyond the front-end when opportunities arise.

Qualifications

Experience within an e-commerce or content-driven application environment.
Demonstrated development experience with some or all of the following: Cold Fusion, ASP.Net (code-behinds and controls), ASP Classic, PHP, JavaScript, FML, XSL and AJAX for “rich internet applications.”
Expertise with CSS/HTML, W3C DOM methods and properties and cross browser development.
Proven cross-browser compatibility and browser degradation issues, as well as, optimization techniques (both in file weight and perceived/actual rendering speed).
A desire to work as a front-end lead on projects.
Strong foundation in graphic design or strong design sensibility.
Strong insight into user advocacy and website usability.
Understanding of how to consume web services and use domain objects to build web front end interfaces.
Solid understanding of SEO best practices.
Familiarity with application development with social networking sites a plus!
Must have good communications skills and be a strong team player.
3-5 years of related web development experience.
