How It Works
Phase 1: Build Experience as a Financial Professional
In your first year, you’ll gain hands-on experience as a financial professional—building client relationships, growing your business, and developing a strong foundation in financial services. We’ll equip you with comprehensive training, digital tools, and access to a broad suite of products and solutions.
Training & Resources
You will receive industry-leading training designed to help you build the skills and knowledge needed to grow in the role. In addition to ongoing coaching and mentorship, you will have access to experienced professionals, proven best practices, and digital sales, prospecting, and marketing tools to help you attract and retain clients across web, social, and email channels.
Products & Solutions
Gain experience delivering a broad portfolio of insurance and financial solutions designed to help clients achieve their financial goals. Together with its subsidiaries, New York Life offers life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and investment products2 such as mutual funds.
Phase 2: Transition to Associate Partner
After meeting specific performance requirements during the first 12 months as a financial professional, you will enter a specialized six-month Associate Partner training program2 focused on leadership, recruiting, and team development.
As an Associate Partner, you will learn how to recruit, coach, and develop a team of financial professionals while continuing to strengthen your leadership capabilities. Throughout your career with New York Life, opportunities for advancement into increasingly senior management roles will continue to grow.
Compensation & Benefits
When you begin with New York Life as a financial professional,3 your income will be commission-based. For more information about commission-based income and benefits for financial professionals, please follow this link:
