Full Job Description

When you join the Versacon team, you inherit more than just an employer, but an extension of your own family. We are a General Construction company based in Minneapolis, MN. As a growing company we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team.

Job Description: The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Managers and other team members with a variety of tasks such as coordination with clients, field personnel, and subcontractors. The Assistant Project Manager will help prep bids, execute project requirements, coordinate communication between field and office and provide analysis and research when needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Obtain contract documents or potential projects for bidding
Determine scope of work & perform takeoffs under Project Manager direction
Identify and contact potential Subcontractors per SOW
Bid preparation by contacting subcontractors and organizing bid invite information
Assist Project Manager with meeting project goals before and after bid (women-owned, minority-owned, Veteran-owned etc.)
Review and return any necessary submittals, contracts, subcontracts by direction of the Project Manager
Assist in equipment materials or equipment etc. as requested
Maintain and organize estimating database (including current labor, material, and equipment rates)
Complete and maintain post bid analysis
Assist field staff as required
Responsible for accurate maintenance of project records and timely updates to Project Managers
Responsible for assisting with punch list follow up, project closeout, record keeping, and warranty processing
Coordinate project related meetings & producing meeting minutes
Perform field work (measurements, photos, reports, observations, or other tasks as directed)
Assist as requested with tracking and preparing change orders and scope revisions
Assist with other task as directed by Project Manager
Attend functions representing Versacon as requested

Qualifications/ Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree -Construction Management
Or 3+ years’ experience in construction field
Proficient in the following software: Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, MS Project, Team, Spectrum, Procore, Isqft (preferred but not required)
Analytical and mathematical skills
Creative problem-solving skills
Interpersonal and communication skills
Detailed and organized
Team-player
