Job Overview

IOK (The Institute of Knowledge) is a leading Islamic educational institution dedicated to fostering a finer future through high-quality programming that connects individuals with Islamic resources. We offer a diverse range of programmes, including a full-time WASC accredited school, seminaries, and chaplaincy services for Muslims of all ages. We are seeking a meticulous and organised Data Coordinator to join our team in Monterey Park, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our institutional data, playing a crucial role in supporting our educational and administrative operations. This is a full-time position for an individual who is passionate about data management and wishes to contribute to a mission-driven organisation.

Responsibilities

As a Data Coordinator, you will be entrusted with managing and safeguarding our data systems. Your key duties will include:

Accurately entering and maintaining data across various platforms, including student information systems, enrolment records, and course databases.
Performing regular data quality checks and audits to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all information.
Generating and preparing routine reports for academic staff, administration, and management to support decision-making.
Assisting with data clean-up projects to streamline and improve our data management processes.
Responding to data-related enquiries from staff and providing administrative support as needed.
Upholding strict confidentiality and data protection standards when handling sensitive information.
Collaborating with various departments to ensure data consistency and support their operational needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. The required qualifications include:

Proven experience in a data entry, data coordinator, or similar administrative role.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with student information systems (SIS) or other database software is highly desirable but not essential.
