$31,000 - $40,000 in accordance with the BACSO

JOB SUMMARY:
The Community School Organizer will report directly to the Building Principal and work cooperatively with the
early childhood and community education staff. Primary responsibilities will include the support of building
programming through serving as the Kids’ Club site administrator, leading lunch supervision, and marketing of
the school’s instructional and enrichment programming.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. Evidence of candidate’s involvement in a school community setting.
3. Evidence of the candidate’s ability to provide quality leadership skills demonstrated through:
- Ability to build relationships with students, staff and community members;
Excellent writing and communication skills;
Strong public relations/customer service skills;
Ability to work collaboratively with other Community School Organizers and district personnel;
Skill in maintaining productive, positive interpersonal relationships;
Strong technology skills and ability to participate in training as necessary;
Ability to maintain accurate student information files;
4. Knowledge of early learning programs, community education and familiarity with the community preferred.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Administer and oversee Kids Club and ensure adherence to licensing regulations.
2. Understanding of and ability to create a safe and orderly lunchroom environment for all students.
3. Support building early childhood and enrichment programming.
4. Actively market school events and enrollment and assist with new parent tours and follow up with families.
5. Disseminate information to the community via publications, website and social media.
6. Maintain a positive working partnership with parent and school groups.
7. Perform other related duties as requested.
