The Opportunity & Growth Path

We are looking for a dedicated professional looking to grow their tax career within a small, supportive firm. This position begins as a flexible part-time role (20 to 30 hours per week)— ideal for managing life's other commitments while building technical mastery—with a structured, clear path to a permanent, full-time career. Because we are a growing boutique firm, your growth opportunity here is purely vertical. We are looking for an individual who wants to advance through a defined career ladder:

Tax Associate >Experienced Tax Associate>Light Tax Senior>Tax Senior>Light Manager>Manager>Senior Tax Manager>Junior Partner.

What You Will Do

Prepare and review average to complex U.S. individual tax returns.
Assist with specialized compliance for expatriates (U.S. citizens abroad) and inpatriates (foreign nationals in the U.S.).
Gain exposure to cross-border tax consulting projects and Canadian cross-border compliance from a U.S. tax perspective.
Engage in deep tax technical research with guidance and training to provide customized tax solutions to U.S. and international clients.
Leverage advanced digital tools to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
Deliver highly personalized communication and service to our clients.

What We Need From You

Residency: Must be located in the State of Illinois (in or around the Naperville area preferred for occasional in-office collaboration).
Experience: 2 to 4 years of tax preparation experience, with a solid foundation in U.S. individual taxation.
International Exposure: Some prior experience or exposure to international individual taxation (expatriates/inpatriates) is highly desirable.
Credentials: Prefer that the candidate is working towards an Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA designation.
Mindset: A strong interest in building a long-term tax career, a passion for learning, and a desire to grow vertically within a small firm.
