Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Agronomic Sales Representative to join our innovative team dedicated to advancing agricultural productivity and sustainability. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between the farming community and providing expert advice on crop management, soil health, and innovative solutions. Your energetic approach will help farmers optimize their yields while integrating scientific research and data-driven strategies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine fieldwork, technical expertise, and sales acumen to make a tangible impact on agriculture practices worldwide.

Duties

Engage with farmers and agricultural professionals to understand their needs and promote tailored agronomic solutions.
Conduct on-site visits to assess crop health, soil conditions, and greenhouse environments, providing actionable recommendations.
Collect and analyze data related to crop performance, soil chemistry, and environmental factors using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools.
Support research & development initiatives by assisting in experimental design, data collection, and analysis of new products or techniques.
Collaborate with research teams to translate laboratory findings into practical farming applications.
Develop educational materials and deliver training sessions on topics such as horticulture, sustainable farming practices, or new technological innovations like machine learning algorithms in agriculture.
Maintain detailed records of field trials, customer interactions, and product performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.

Skills

Comfortable challenging customers and playing the role of a change agent to efficiently improve customer operations
Proficiency in data analysis skills using R or Python programming languages; experience with machine learning is a plus.
Laboratory experience coupled with practical knowledge of greenhouse environments and molecular biology techniques.
Familiarity with GIS tools for spatial analysis of agricultural landscapes.
Experience in experimental design and conducting research & development projects within agriculture or related fields.
Excellent analysis skills for interpreting complex datasets related to farming systems and crop performance.
Hands-on experience in farming practices or sustainable agriculture methods.
Ability to collect high-quality data through meticulous observation and record-keeping.
Strong communication skills for effectively presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
