COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT: This position is not in a collective bargaining unit.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is in the Office of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent is primarily responsible for managing the project teams and work efforts involving the analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the projects. Duties include, but are not limited to: managing and overseeing multiple IT initiatives; defining the scope, goals and structure needed to deliver technology and process change within an organization through the management of projects; ensuring that the work efforts achieve the outcome specified within the agency's business strategy; identifying, evaluating, tracking, communicating, escalating and mitigating potential risks to project budget, timeline and/or deliverables; coordinating and conducting governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise processes and methodologies; and working with internal and external stakeholders to develop requirements, design and document solutions. Performs other related duties as assigned. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Five (5) years of progressive experience managing IT projects through the full project life cycle, including COTS and Data Center/Infrastructure projects using Agile or Hybrid Agile methodologies; experience must include leading technical teams in a matrixed environment, managing large-scale IT budgets, and applying SDLC and PMLC methodologies. Agile certification is required; PMP certification is highly desired.

SALARY REDUCTION OF REEMPLOYED ANNUITANTS:

An individual selected for employment in the District Government on or after January 1, 1980, who is receiving an annuity under any District government civilian retirement system, shall have his or her pay reduced by the amount of annuity allocable to the period of employment as a reemployed annuitant.
