Full Job Description

firstPRO is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and deliver enterprise infrastructure and end-user technology initiatives across the organization. This role serves as the key liaison between technical teams, field technicians, vendors, and business stakeholders, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption to business operations and end users. This is a 12-month contract that requires candidates to be on site 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiple infrastructure and end-user technology projects from initiation through implementation, transition, and operational handoff.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risk logs, and status reporting.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts across infrastructure, desktop support, network, server, field services, vendors, and business teams.
Facilitate project meetings, manage action items, and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with business and operational requirements.
Proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate risks, issues, and resource constraints.
Support budgeting, forecasting, procurement coordination, and resource planning as needed.
Lead enterprise device refresh and deployment initiatives for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and related end-user hardware.
Partner with desktop support, field services, and business teams to plan and execute device replacement schedules and deployment waves.
Coordinate asset tracking, procurement, imaging schedules, shipping logistics, deployment readiness, and inventory management.
Oversee migration activities including user profiles, application setup, data transfers, printer mapping, and workstation configuration.
Ensure minimal downtime, smooth cutovers, and a positive end-user experience during refresh and deployment events.
Track deployment metrics, milestones, issue resolution, and overall project performance.
Manage vendor relationships related to hardware procurement, deployment services, and logistics support.
Coordinate daily project activities across desktop support, field services, network, server, and infrastructure teams.
Schedule technician resources and oversee installation, migration, remediation, and post-deployment support activities.
Manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure deliverables, timelines, and service expectations are met.
Escalate and help resolve technical or operational issues that may impact project delivery.
Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and end users throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate project schedules, deployment timelines, maintenance windows, outages, and implementation updates.
Coordinate user readiness activities, training communications, and post-implementation support planning.
Manage escalations and drive a high level of customer satisfaction through clear communication and issue follow-through.

This role may lead or support initiatives such as:

Enterprise laptop and desktop refresh programs
Windows migrations and endpoint lifecycle initiatives
Office relocations and technology move projects
Wireless, LAN, and network infrastructure upgrades
Microsoft 365 implementations and migrations
Server, storage, and infrastructure migration projects
Identity and access management initiatives
Endpoint deployment and asset management programs
Cabling, telecom, and site readiness projects

Qualifications Required

5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Project Management or a closely related role.
Proven experience managing large-scale device refresh, hardware deployment, or end-user technology rollout projects.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including desktop support, field services, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Working knowledge of endpoint technologies, Windows environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and core networking concepts.
Strong project management skills with experience managing schedules, risks, dependencies, budgets, and resource allocation.
Excellent organizational, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to balance technical project requirements with business priorities and end-user experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing enterprise infrastructure initiatives in complex, multi-site environments.
Familiarity with IT asset management, deployment logistics, and hardware lifecycle planning.
Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
PMP, CAPM, ITIL, or related certifications are a plus.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
