Full Job Description

Ballard Excavating is seeking an experienced dump truck driver with a valid CDL and clean driving record to work part or full time. Scopes of work include transportation of excavation equipment, excavated dirt, and occasional deliveries of material in the I-5 corridor(from Marysville to Renton). Must have knowledge of local gravel pits and dump sites Ability to be flexible and work with other vendors is a must.

No need to apply if you can’t pass drug tests. Must be physically capable of loading and chaining down excavation equipment. Class A CDL required. DOT physical must be in good standing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate safely and efficiently a variety of trucks including transfer trailers, side dumps, and truck & trailers;
Perform pre-trip inspections and fill out log before operating vehicle;
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as tarping loads, climbing in and on trucks;
Must keep an organized and professional appearance at all times;
Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Be self-motivated and reliable to meet performance standards;
Practice safe driving skills in all operating conditions and follow all vehicle safety regulations
Load and unload equipment and material in a safe manner
Transport equipment and material to and from job sites- Keep truck clean inside & out
Keep truck in good operating order
Must submit to Drug Screening & background check

Hourly Wage(Pay Weekly): $26 to $30.00 /hour

Experience: Greater than 2 years

Work authorization: United States (Required)

CDL Classes: Class A (Required)

CDL Endorsements: Combination (X Endorsement) (Preferred)

No Moving Violations in the Past:: 2 years (Required)
