Full Job Description

Position: Sr. NEPA – Team Lead

Job Type: Full Time

Job Description:

Lumenor Consulting Group is looking for a motivated self-starter to lead a NEPA group in our growing Environmental team. Our preferred candidate would have demonstrated experience working with state DOT’s or other agencies related to infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic environmental consulting professional with the desire to foster technical excellence, the ability to provide day to day project support and the desire to grow and manage a NEPA team. This candidate will be an integral part of our growth strategy and must be willing to perform work both in the office as well as in the field.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the successful completion of documentation and technical aspects of NEPA and State Environmental projects.

· Lead, manage and train NEPA analyst staff

· Lead the development of scopes and budgets for overall project budgets specifically for NEPA and Public Involvement tasks

· Assist with the completion of documentation and technical aspects of NEPA/GEPA

· Business Development activities including proposal development, client interactions and management of CRM records.

· Data entry and tracking of project statuses and schedules from concept development through agency clearance.

· Manage field safety efforts

· Oversee quality program for project deliverables

· Oversee and participate in employee career development

· Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or higher degree in relevant field (environmental sciences, natural sciences, urban geography, history, ecology, or related field)

· 8+ years’ experience relevant profession

· Expertise in the completion of NEPA documentation including EIS/ROD, EA/FONSI, CE and PCEs.

· Knowledge in the analysis and outreach processes for environmental justice.

· Strong technical and scientific writing skills with experience preparing environmental reports and technical analysis

· Strong organizational skills and focus on attention to detail

Preferred Skills

· Linear transportation or infrastructure experience – DOT experience

· GIS experience.

· Experience in meeting with and conducting consultations with the federal, state and local agencies

· Ability to understand and interpret preliminary and final roadway or construction plans

· Communicates effectively with clients and fosters a positive working relationship with the client

· Mentoring junior staff

· Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
