Organizes and manages the business interface between the university's computer chip fabrication service (MOSIS) and its customers. Contacts potential customers in order to increase MOSIS business. Reviews, negotiates, and approves in-going purchase orders. Prepares special reports and analyses for management.
1. Business process execution
- Utilize existing NDA, quote generation, PO processing, and invoicing systems in Hubspot and the USC financial systems to track and expedite customer engagement.

Work with the commercial team and customers to identify blockers and drive resolution of day-to-day execution problems. A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work in a dynamic environment is essential

Define long-term process improvements and collaborate with the IT and commercial teams to streamline the process flow, including the utilization of AI tools within the HubSpot environment.
2. Customer Support
- Be the go to individual for customer business cycle status and response to direct customer inquiries. Being proactive in delays and communications of problems.

Develop open and direct relationships with customers and provide the pulse to the commercial team on customer satisfaction and engagement. Escalate customer support problems quickly.

Organized and detail-oriented: capable of managing multiple workstreams across disparate departments (Engineering, Finance, IT Commercial)

Communications: Ability to handle a high volume of email, phone, and Slack channel communications while maintaining a professional, calm voice.

CRM experience; general experience in a CRM tool, with Hubspot experience a plus. Expertise not required but desirable.

Fast learner: the ability to learn and grow with the team as we expand and step up to higher skills roles rapidly.
The hourly salary range for this position is up to $60/hour. Familiarity with integrated circuit fabrication technologies & cost issues. Knowledge of various computer operating systems (e.g., Sun/Unix, VAX/VMS, & DOS/Windows).
