CDL-B Rear Load Truck Driver

What We’re Looking For in You:

Skill and Experience:

Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle to include walking around the truck and bending down to inspect tires.
Responsible for documenting pre and post-trip checks utilizing the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.
Operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load waste, operate compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
Ability to climb in and out of truck, dump trash bags, grip and move arm freely to tighten and loosen turnbuckles to dump load or raise the tailgate.
Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and to the disposal site, keeping head on a swivel to stay alert.
Successfully read route sheets and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or manager.
Communicate with all customers, dispatchers, and/ or others daily to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
Notify Dispatch or Management of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service or potential safety hazards.
Immediately reports all unsafe situations or accidents to Dispatch or Management
Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
