Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations with precision and enthusiasm. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees. Your expertise in payroll management systems and accounting software will drive efficiency, compliance, and data integrity across our organization. Duties

Manage end-to-end payroll processing using Netchex and Dealertrack.
Ensure accurate data entry for payroll transactions, including hours worked, benefits administration, and tax deductions.
Reconcile accounts related to payroll, benefits, taxes, and general ledger entries to maintain financial accuracy.
Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations; prepare reports for governmental agencies as required.
Collaborate with HRIS systems to update employee records and process changes efficiently.
Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors; implement corrective actions promptly.
Support benefits administration processes and assist with non-profit or governmental accounting requirements as needed.
Maintain detailed documentation of payroll procedures, journal entries, account reconciliation reports, and audit trails.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll expenses and reimbursements.
Ensure adherence to double entry bookkeeping principles and technical accounting standards within payroll operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing payroll using platforms such as Netchex and Dealertrack.
Strong knowledge of payroll management principles combined with accounting software proficiency like QuickBooks or similar tools.
Familiarity with human resources information systems (HRIS) and time-tracking systems such as Netchex and Dealertrack.
Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
Experience in benefits administration, non-profit accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, and tax compliance.
Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting discrepancies in payroll data; high attention to detail is essential.
Ability to perform data entry accurately using 10 key typing skills; proficient in bookkeeping practices including double entry bookkeeping.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across finance and HR teams; knowledge of human resources processes is a plus.
