Full Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking a dedicated AS400 Administrator to join their dynamic team. As an AS400 Administrator, you will be an integral part of the IT support department, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability and efficiency of IBM i (AS400) systems.

Job Title: AS400 Administrator

Location:Phoenix, AZ, USA

Pay Range:$55-$60 per hour

What's the Job?

Manage and maintain IBM i (AS400) systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Develop and implement AS400 programming solutions using RPG, CL, and SQL.
Perform system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Coordinate system backups, recovery processes, and security protocols to safeguard data integrity.
Collaborate with teams to modernize legacy applications and integrate with other platforms such as APIs and web services.

What's Needed?

Extensive experience with IBM i (AS400) systems administration and support.
Proficiency in AS400 programming languages including RPG, CL, and SQL.
Solid understanding of IBM System architecture and infrastructure components.
Experience with system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and job scheduling.
Knowledge of backup/recovery tools, security, and compliance best practices for IBM i environments.
