Overview

We are seeking a talented and energetic Cartoonist to bring stories, humor, and visual narratives to life through captivating illustrations. In this dynamic role, you will craft engaging cartoons and visual content that resonate with diverse audiences across various media platforms. Your creativity and technical skills will help communicate ideas, entertain, and inspire through vibrant artwork and compelling storytelling. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity for artists passionate about visual arts and digital design to make a meaningful impact.

Duties

Develop original cartoon concepts, characters, and storylines that align with project goals and audience interests
Create hand-drawn illustrations and digital artwork using graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma
Design layouts for print advertising, web content, and multimedia projects utilizing tools like Adobe InDesign, After Effects, and Maya for motion graphics or 3D animation
Incorporate principles of color theory, typography, and visual storytelling to enhance the clarity and appeal of each piece
Collaborate with art directors, writers, and other creative team members to refine concepts and ensure cohesive visual communication
Prepare artwork for various media formats including screen printing, digital publishing, or animation production
Maintain organized project files and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously

Skills

Proficiency in graphic design illustration, digital art, hand-drawn illustration, and visual arts painting techniques
Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, SketchUp, Maya, After Effects, and other graphic design software
Experience with layout design for print advertising or interior/production design is a plus
Familiarity with motion graphics, 2D animation, HTML/CSS for web design or interactive content creation
Understanding of typography design for media and visual design principles to craft compelling visuals
Ability to apply color theory effectively across different media formats
Knowledge of screen printing techniques or print production processes is advantageous
Excellent communication skills to interpret creative briefs clearly and work collaboratively within a team environment
