Position Summary
The Ecommerce Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of BILLY Footwear's ecommerce business across both the U.S. direct-to-consumer website and international ecommerce storefronts. This role oversees website operations, digital merchandising, promotional campaigns, email marketing, analytics, and customer experience to support continued growth.
This individual will collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Creative, and external partners to deliver a seamless shopping experience across multiple global markets while supporting revenue growth and brand consistency.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, customer-focused, and excited to contribute to the continued expansion of BILLY Footwear's global ecommerce business.
Key ResponsibilitiesEcommerce Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operation of BILLY Footwear's Shopify ecommerce platform across the U.S. and international ecommerce websites.
- Maintain product catalogs, pricing, collections, inventory visibility, product metadata and promotional content across all storefronts.
- Coordinate new product launches and seasonal campaigns across domestic and international markets.
- Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure localized content, currencies, shipping methods, and customer experience remain accurate and up to date.
- Monitor website functionality and coordinate with developers to resolve technical issues and implement platform enhancements.
- Identify, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain app integrations.
- Support the launch of new international ecommerce storefronts as the business expands into additional global markets.
Digital Merchandising
- Optimize onsite merchandising, product presentation, collections, and navigation to maximize conversion.
- Ensure localized product content, imagery, promotions, and merchandising are consistent across all markets.
- Analyze customer behavior and sales trends to improve product discovery and shopping experiences.
Email & SMS Marketing Collaboration
- Partner with the Email & SMS Marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns that align with ecommerce merchandising strategies, product launches, and seasonal initiatives.
- Collaborate on customer lifecycle marketing programs, including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, loyalty, and win-back campaigns, ensuring messaging supports business objectives and enhances the customer journey.
- Provide insights on product priorities, promotional timing, merchandising strategies, and customer behavior to inform email and SMS content and segmentation.
- Analyze campaign performance alongside the Email & SMS Marketing team, using data-driven insights to optimize customer engagement, improve conversion rates, and maximize revenue contribution.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure email, SMS, website merchandising, paid media, social media, and retail initiatives are aligned to deliver a consistent omnichannel customer experience.
Website Optimization & Customer Experience
- Continuously improve website usability, mobile experience, and checkout performance.
- Assist with A/B testing of landing pages, product pages, promotional messaging, and customer journeys.
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer retention.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor and report on key ecommerce performance metrics across domestic and international markets, including:
- Revenue
- Website traffic
- Conversion rate
- Average Order Value (AOV)
- Email performance
- Customer acquisition
- Geographic sales performance
- Customer retention
- Analyze customer behavior, campaign performance, and sales trends to generate data-driven insights that optimize digital marketing campaigns, improve ROI, and support future omnichannel merchandising and growth strategies across domestic and international markets.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing to execute integrated campaigns across digital and retail channels.
- Collaborate with Operations and Logistics to support inventory availability and international fulfillment.
- Work closely with Customer Service to identify opportunities to improve the online customer experience.
- Coordinate with technology vendors, agency partners, and international distributors to support ecommerce initiatives.
- Support alignment between ecommerce, wholesale, retail, and marketing teams to deliver a consistent omnichannel customer experience.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of ecommerce experience, preferably with a consumer products, footwear, apparel, or lifestyle brand.
- Experience managing Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Experience using Klaviyo or a similar email marketing platform.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed business recommendations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred
- Experience managing multiple Shopify storefronts or Shopify Markets.
- Familiarity with international ecommerce best practices, including localized content, currencies, taxes, and shipping.
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central or other ecommerce marketplaces.
- Working knowledge of SEO and digital marketing fundamentals.
- Experience using Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
- Experience working with project management software such as Asana, Monday.com, or Trello.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $85,000–$100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
