Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Digital Systems Administrator (Contractor) to help build, manage, maintain, and improve our company’s websites, hosting environments, and core digital systems.

This role will include building and launching a new company website, as well as maintaining and supporting our existing WordPress websites and digital infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking a website from initial setup and development through launch, ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, updates, and technical improvements.

You will work closely with leadership to build and maintain WordPress websites, troubleshoot technical issues, manage hosting and domain settings, and support integrations across our digital tools.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on website development, web operations, system reliability, and website infrastructure maintenance. The contractor should be able to independently manage website projects and provide ongoing technical support after launch.

Responsibilities

Build and launch a new company website from initial setup through completion
Maintain, update, and improve existing WordPress websites and related plugins/themes
Troubleshoot website issues, errors, downtime, and performance problems
Manage web hosting environments (cPanel or similar platforms)
Handle domain management, DNS configuration, and SSL certificate setup
Ensure website security, backups, and uptime monitoring
Manage WooCommerce settings and basic e-commerce functionality
Support email hosting and domain-based email configuration
Assist with website integrations and third-party tools, including forms, embeds, and other digital platforms
Perform routine system checks and technical maintenance tasks
Implement and test website updates and fixes in a staging/live environment
Document technical processes and system changes
Provide ongoing website support and technical maintenance after launch

Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience building, administering, and troubleshooting WordPress websites
Demonstrated experience taking websites from development through launch
Understanding of web hosting environments and server basics
Experience with DNS, domains, and SSL certificate management
Familiarity with WooCommerce or similar e-commerce tools
Basic understanding of website security and backup systems
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical website issues independently
Comfort working with third-party plugins and integrations
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with leadership

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

Experience with Breakdance, Elementor, or similar page builders
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
Experience with website migrations or redesigns
Familiarity with analytics, SEO, and website performance tools
Experience managing multiple websites or digital platforms

Compensation

Hourly or project-based contract compensation
Flexible schedule
