Registered Nurse (RN) – Wellness Department

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY
Pay: $52.00–$55.00 per hour
Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time

Our client is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Wellness Department in Midtown Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is passionate about preventive care, community health, wellness education, and chronic disease management while working with one of New York City's most respected healthcare organizations.

If you enjoy helping individuals improve their health through education, screenings, vaccinations, and community outreach, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Perform health screenings and monitor members with acute and chronic health conditions.
Conduct wellness assessments, including blood pressure, glucose, Hemoglobin A1C, lipid panels, BMI, and other health screenings.
Administer seasonal vaccinations and immunizations.
Participate in health fairs and community outreach events throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs.
Educate members in person, virtually, and by telephone on chronic disease management, preventive healthcare, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Accurately document clinical information for reporting and statistical analysis.
Counsel members regarding available 1199SEIU health benefits and coordinate referrals to internal departments and community resources.
Communicate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams regarding member care and follow-up.
Support additional wellness initiatives and departmental projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of two years of RN experience in Ambulatory Care, Community Health, Medical-Surgical Nursing, or a related clinical setting.
Strong clinical assessment, patient education, motivational interviewing, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and electronic documentation systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.
Valid New York State Driver's License preferred, with the ability to travel throughout the New York Metropolitan area.
Ability to carry a laptop and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
