Full Job Description

CRCI IS NOW HIRING FOR MARINE ELECTRICIAN

(NOT OPEN TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES, PAST EMPLOYEES OR PREVIOUSLY INTERVIEWED APPLICANTS)

1st, 2nd and 3rd Class Marine Electricians (Skilled Trade)

Job functions include the following, but other duties may be assigned:

· Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Must have knowledge of shipboard installations and/or repair of electrical circuits and systems.

· Must have working knowledge of reading blueprints, schematics and other Navy approved electrical publications, to include redline drawings as needed.

· Knowledge of opening and closing MCT’s/MCP’s, packing stuffing tubes and laying out for cable penetrations.

· Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolding, and in confined/enclosed spaces.

· Knowledge of wiring connections including but not limited to power panels, transformers and connection boxes (connector and fiber optic certifications a plus).

· Knowledge of proper layout of equipment and cables runs throughout spaces per documentation.

· Knowledge of proper installation and removal of cables in cableways and penetrations.

· Must be able to use electrical test equipment (multi-meters and meggers).

· Must be able to use power tools and equipment (drills, saws, etc.).

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 6:00am-2:30 pm
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to gain DBIDS/Government Clearance
Must be able to work overtime
Must be able to travel (VA, CA, FL, HI, WA etc.)
Must be able to obtain OSHA 10 card for "Maritime or Shipyard Employment". OSHA 10 for construction cannot be used in the shipyard
