Full Job Description

Position: Accounting Associate (In-Person Queens, NY)

About Us: TaxFrame is a tax filing assistance company based in Elmhurst, Queens, NY. We specialize in providing comprehensive tax solutions for individuals and businesses, emphasizing a human connection and personalized service. Our mission is to simplify tax filing and planning, allowing our clients to focus on their passions while we handle their tax needs.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts regularly
Review and analyze expense reports, ensuring proper coding and documentation
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
Prepare journal entries and adjust entries as needed
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
Assist external auditors by providing documentation, schedules, and explanations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve workflows
Maintain accurate and organized financial files and documentation
Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Interest in business, accounting, and data entry.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Proficiency with office software and virtual communication tools.
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
Fluent in English, and at least limited working proficiency in at least 1 dialect of Chinese (ex: Cantonese, Mandarin, etc)

Compensation:

Entry-level salary range: $40,000-$60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
