Accounting Clerk

Rogue Solutions Accounting & Bookkeeping | Grants Pass, OR Full-Time | Reports to: Staff Accountant Manager Compensation: $40000 to $450000/year, based on experience

About the Role

Rogue Solutions Accounting & Bookkeeping is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to work across multiple client accounts day to day. This is not an entry-level position — we're looking for someone who can independently manage day-to-day bookkeeping, resolve discrepancies before they become problems, and support clients with confidence and professionalism.

We run on the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework, so you'll be part of a team that meets weekly, solves issues directly (IDS), and holds itself accountable to clear goals.

What You'll Own

Accounting & Client Files

Manage AP/AR across your daily client work — coding invoices and processing payments with a strong focus on accuracy
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations independently, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
Maintain clean, accurate bank feeds and financial records across QuickBooks Online, SharePoint, and your project management system
Prepare client-ready documents and financial materials for meetings and reviews

Client Support

Respond to client questions and requests with confidence, resolving what you can and looping in the staff accountant/CRM when needed
Follow through on every client request within expected timeframes — nothing falls through the cracks
Coordinate with clients and internal teams to collect documents and keep records current

Payroll & Compliance

Process payroll and payroll tax payments accurately and on time
Prepare and file payroll tax returns and other required tax forms
Manage 1099 preparation and maintain the master vendor/W-9 spreadsheet, hitting every filing deadline

Process & Systems

Keep your project management task list and work schedules accurate and up to date, with zero overdue items
Bring process improvement ideas to the table and help refine how the team works
Maintain strong QuickBooks Online proficiency and follow RSA's data security protocols (Keeper)

What You Bring

3–5+ years of accounting experience in an office setting, with demonstrated independence on AP/AR, reconciliations, and payroll
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
A track record of being the person clients and teammates can rely on
Comfort working directly with clients and juggling multiple priorities without dropping the ball
Sharp attention to detail and good judgment with confidential information
A proactive mindset — you flag issues and suggest fixes before being asked
A big plus: experience with journal entries and building/maintaining spreadsheets using formulas (not just data entry)
