Full Job Description

Accounting Assistant

A real estate development company is seeking a full-time, dedicated, and professional Accounting Assistant to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills. This role requires excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, the capacity to prioritize work, adapt to change, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will provide accurate and efficient administrative support while contributing to a collaborative accounting team.

Responsibilities:

Accounts payable & receivable, bookkeeping, administrative tasks, and other projects as assigned.
Vendor invoice entry, including verifying coding consistency and accuracy.
Manage employee credit card statements and enter details into the appropriate accounting system
Deposit rent, investor, and vendor checks and record receipts.
Record investor notes and equity entries
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and delinquencies in a timely manner.
Maintain files and documentation according to company policy and accepted accounting practices

Requirements:

Associate degree in Accounting or two years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
Good problem-solving and time management abilities.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
QuickBooks, AppFolio, or Entrata experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly range: $24–$31/hr depending on education and experience
