Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the processing of invoices, ensure financial compliance, and maintain accurate financial records using various accounting software systems. Your leadership will ensure timely payments, uphold internal controls, and support our commitment to operational excellence.

Duties

Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, data entry, and payment processing using financial software such as Workday, SAP, or similar systems
Oversee invoice approval workflows, ensuring adherence to company policies and internal controls aligned with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance
Reconcile vendor statements and perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy of payable balances
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and human resources teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth vendor relationships
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling invoices, payments, and vendor data with integrity
Utilize Excel data analysis skills to generate reports on accounts payable metrics and identify process improvements
Lead efforts in accounts payable automation initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce manual entry errors

Experience

Proven experience managing accounts payable functions within a corporate or public accounting environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial compliance standards
Hands-on experience with financial software including Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro or similar platforms
Familiarity with accounting systems integration and automation tools for invoice processing and data entry efficiency
Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger management accurately
Excellent analysis skills utilizing Excel formulas like VLOOKUP functions and pivot tables for data-driven decision-making
Experience handling confidential information with discretion in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, double entry bookkeeping, payroll management, and benefits administration
