Full Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

The Security Supervisor is responsible for controlling access to the Primex Farms facility and overseeing the activities of the security team, which provides safety to protect all guests, employees and company assets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary.

· Schedules guards.

· Writes Post Orders and trains security officers.

· Conducts audits and inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure protection from intruders, fire hazards, theft, and vandalism.

· Follows protocols for the monitoring of system and alarms, internal and external security cameras, and procedures for responses to issues.

· Ensures that all security events are logged, documented, and reported daily to HR Manager using standard procedures.

· Works closely with Plant Management to establish plans for crises response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence and other emergency events.

· Participates in education programs and communications on security post orders, company policies and topics to ensure guards are adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues.

· Keeps informed with all local security-related information, directives, and events.

· Investigates critical events based on incidents and plant management.

· Logs in all commercial inbound and outbound trucks.

· Logs all visitors, guests and provides GMP pamphlet.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma. AA or bachelor's degree is a plus.
3 years’ experience as a security guard or law enforcement or military security experience.
2 years supervisory experience in related field.
Must possess a current CA Driver's License.
BSIS CA Guard Card
Spanish bilingual, is a plus

Our Security Leader must possess the following traits:

· Able to work with various levels of personality traits and maintain self-control.

· Display a professional demeanor and able to effectively communicate and deliver information effectively to visitors, clients, employees.

· Is approachable, makes decisions based on integrity, business approach, and has the basic desire to protect and serve.

· Must prepare written statements and investigations in a logical and grammatically correct.

· During our peak season (August - October) must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays; and/or work extended hours, if required.

· Demonstrates strong organizational skills, planning skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

· Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
