ADF USA is seeking an experienced and highly driven General Superintendent to oversee field operations on a luxury construction project in Miami. This senior leadership role requires exceptional organizational skills, deep knowledge of US construction standards, and the ability to manage complex, fast-paced environments with precision and leadership.
Role Summary
The General Superintendent is responsible for the overall on-site execution of the project: safety, scheduling, quality control, subcontractor supervision, and compliance with all US federal, state, and local regulations.
You will serve as the senior field leader ensuring the project is delivered to ADF’s exceptional level of craftsmanship and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Coordination
- Lead daily site activities and ensure smooth coordination of all field operations.
- Supervise and support subcontractors, foremen, and field teams.
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, sequencing, temporary works, and access.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Enforce all OSHA 1926 construction standards and Miami-Dade safety requirements.
- Conduct daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and incident-prevention measures.
- Maintain full compliance with US documentation requirements (JHAs, permits, daily logs, incident reports).
- Ensure subcontractors follow all applicable federal, state, and local safety rules.
Quality Control
- Guarantee that all craftsmanship meets ADF’s luxury standards.
- Perform regular quality inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
- Work with architects, designers, engineers, and clients to solve technical issues on site.
Project Execution & Cost Awareness
- Support the Project Manager on scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and progress tracking.
- Review scopes of work, change orders, and subcontractor performance.
- Identify risks early and propose solutions to maintain project timelines.
Communication & Reporting
- Prepare accurate daily reports, progress documentation, and site photos.
- Represent ADF USA on site with clients, consultants, inspectors, and authorities.
- Ensure clear, proactive communication between office and field teams.
Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years of US field experience in high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial construction.
- In-depth knowledge of US building codes, OSHA safety standards, and inspection processes.
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing multi-trade teams.
- Highly organized, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 30 (required or obtained quickly)
- First Aid/CPR
- Procore / Bluebeam experience
- Construction Management degree or equivalent (preferred)
