Full Job Description

Meyers Electric has been serving Rice Lake and northwest Wisconsin since 1986. We're celebrating our 40th year in business and looking for an office manager to join our team immediately.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager to lead the daily operations of our office environment. This vital role ensures smooth administrative workflows, effective team coordination, and efficient office management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As an Office Manager, you will oversee administrative functions, manage vendor relationships, coordinate events, and support human resources initiatives to foster a productive and welcoming workplace.

Responsibilities

Ensures all administrative, human resources, training, accounting, and purchasing functions are handled in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner for in accordance with company policies and procedures
Assists in the analysis of the company's financial performance, through the development, processing, and analysis of performance reports, the preparation of the budget and ensuing analysis of monthly financial reports
Maintaining employee records and personnel documentation
Providing general building maintenance including ordering and maintaining office supplies, operating and maintaining office equipment as needed
Performing general office duties which could include creating and maintaining forms and spreadsheets, distributing mail, answering office phones and greeting visitors, reviewing work logs to determine where additional clerical support is needed
Providing training and technical support to staff, reviewing and approving attendance, time sheets and expense report submissions
Recruiting, interviewing and making recommendations for hiring of candidates, maintaining and reviewing local personnel files
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement processes to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
Handle bookkeeping, payroll processing using QuickBooks, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping with accuracy and attention to detail.
Support human resources functions such as onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel files, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Requirements

Proven experience in office management or administrative roles
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping and payroll management; experience with budgeting is a plus.
Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation.
Demonstrated experience in vendor management, and office administration.
Familiarity with filing systems, clerical tasks, and front desk operations to maintain an organized workspace.
