Full Job Description

Medical Office Receptionist

Summary/Objective

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient service while supporting daily administrative and clinical operations in a fast-paced medical office. This position is part-time (30 hours a week) and benefit-eligible. Minimum starting pay is $19.50 per hour, depending on prior experience. The daily hours for this position are M, T, Th, F, 8:15 AM-4:15 PM (no weekends or holidays).

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Process patient referrals
Upload, scan, fax, and shred patient documents while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Prepare, clean, sanitize, and sterilize patient examination rooms between visits
Restock patient rooms and clinical supplies as needed
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages appropriately
Assist providers and clinical staff with administrative and patient care support tasks
Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous medical office, receptionist, and /or healthcare experience preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
Strong computer skills, including experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy healthcare setting
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
