About Us:
We are celebrating 25 years as the premier industry leader in stormwater management and owner's representation in the Colorado Springs region. We are a sharp, direct, and highly collaborative small company built on a simple rule: No one is too proud to do the dirty work to take care of the client. We don’t do corporate politics, and we don’t work in rigid silos. We operate as a true team—so much so that we routinely step in and complete each other's tasks to get the job done.

We are currently maintaining our highly successful core business while simultaneously laying the groundwork for an entirely new, separate startup venture. We need a high-performing assistant who matches our company's energy and fits perfectly into this mix.

The Mission (Protect the Focus):
Because we are a tight-knit team, the owner is the constant bottleneck for daily questions, internal Project Manager issues, and routine field distractions. Your main mission is to act as an ironclad buffer. You are being hired to intercept the noise, solve what you can, and hold routine distractions at bay so the owner actually has the uninterrupted focus required to complete critical financials, state compliance files, and new venture planning without being stopped every 5 minutes. The Ideal Candidate & Career Path:
This is a high-energy, fast-paced hybrid role. If you are looking for a predictable, pristine desk job, this is not it. One day you will be tracking an EPA or state regulatory case from the office; the next day you will be jumping in your vehicle to deliver emergency materials or tools directly to a muddy construction site because a timeline is at risk.

This is a leadership track position. Our current Office Manager is tracking toward the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role, and our top Inspector/PM is on track for Chief Operating Officer (COO). We are looking for an administrative right-hand with the long-term potential to grow, master our operations, manage the communication funnel between our financial and field leads, and eventually step up to run the operational engine as the CEO under the President.

We need someone with the chutzpah to stand their ground, hold people accountable, and handle everything from high-level business logistics to running personal household errands.

CRITICAL SECURITY REQUIREMENT: Our firm manages active projects across the entire regional military and federal infrastructure. You must be actively able to pass rigorous federal background checks and biometric screenings to obtain immediate, unescorted entry onto all local secure sites. Our active territory includes Fort Carson, Schriever SFB, Peterson SFB, Buckley SFB, Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS / CM), the PuebloPlex, and Piñon Canyon. If you cannot clear an NCIC check for these bases, please do not apply.

Core Responsibilities:

The Strategic Buffer: Guard the owner’s time and focus. Intercept internal Project Managers, subcontractors, and administrative staff. Review routine correspondence to empower the team to execute independently, ensuring the owner is completely removed from daily noise.
Cost Tracking & Conceptual Estimating: Assist the owner in answering our #1 project question: "How much does it cost?" You must be able to look at an incomplete sketch or a fluid project layout and conceptually visualize the moving pieces—deducing the labor time, phasing, and hidden field costs associated with a project before a plan is formally set in stone.
Compliance & Plan Verification: Learn and enforce our firm's time-tested 25-year compliance protocols. Review state/EPA enforcement cases, track hard municipal deadlines, and reference engineering plans to ensure field deliverables match requirements.
Field Support & Logistics: Run local errands and confidently navigate active, messy construction sites to deliver essential supplies, tools, or compliance documents—including regular deliveries to our secure federal installations.
Financial Entry & Personal Support: Keep basic QuickBooks records updated, coordinate with the Office Manager on vendor payments, and handle the owner's personal logistics (medical appointments, calendars, household vendors).

Requirements:

Security & Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen holding a valid REAL ID driver's license, with an absolutely spotless criminal record actively capable of clearing federal base access.
Plan Reading: Minimum ability to read and understand basic civil drawings, site plans, grading layouts, and scales. You must be able to look at a project plan and understand spatial dimensions.
Conceptual Thinking: Strong foundational math and logical skills. You must be comfortable calculating quantities and estimating costs/time parameters when project details are fluid.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in an office administrative, coordinator, or operational support role. Experience in construction, civil engineering, landscaping, or trades is highly preferred.
Logistics & Attitude: A clean driving record, a reliable vehicle capable of local deliveries, and a strict "no task is too small" mentality.
