Full Job Description

IT Systems Administrator

Job Summary:

We are looking for a customer service oriented System Administrator to provide technical support to users in an efficient and accurate manner. This position is the firm’s front line and responsible to solve basic technical problems and provide support for all assigned areas. The goal is to make sure that customer value is maintained to the standards set by the company.

The System Administrator will provide mainten the desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving issues, and deploying hardware and software solutions, while supporting the internal IT Helpdesk, network and server environment. Administers and supports PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment, and help manage the organizations' overall IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include end user support, license tracking, and performing system maintenance, upgrades, and configurations.

Responsibilities:

o Provide level one contact and convey resolutions to customer issues.

o Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources, escalating where necessary.

o Walk employees through problem solving process.

o Follow up with employees, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution.

o Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customer expectations.

o Ensure proper recording, documentation, and closure of support tickets.

o Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.

o Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operations.

o Maintain operating systems and applications, including deploying updates.

o Identify and resolve issues proactively to maintain high availability and reliability.

o Ensure the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure. Collaborating with our MSP when needed.

o Build and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and policies. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

o Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, network, and other IT infrastructure components. Follow proper security best practices and company policies and procedures to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure is functioning securely and efficiently, enabling all users to perform their duties effectively.

Skill Requirements:

o Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft operating systems, PowerShell, SQL Server and VisualCron.

o Proficiency in English

o Working knowledge of help desk software and remote control of computers

o Strong client-facing and communication skills

o Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills

o Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience

o Occasionally work on call, evenings or weekends

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
3+ years of experience with networking infrastructure or software development environment required.
Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 or later is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person!
