Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in manufacturing Solar Powered Off Grid camping and utility trailers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your engineering expertise to optimize production, improve quality, and implement cutting-edge automation solutions. As a key contributor, you will collaborate across departments to enhance manufacturing efficiency, ensure compliance with industry standards, and foster continuous improvement initiatives. Your technical skills and proactive approach will help shape the future of our manufacturing operations, ensuring we meet the highest standards of quality and productivity.

Duties

Develop, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to design tooling, fixtures, and equipment layouts.
Lead project scheduling efforts to ensure timely completion of process improvements, equipment installations, and automation upgrades.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in production lines, troubleshoot mechanical and automation problems, and implement effective corrective actions.
Program and maintain industrial automation systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, CAM programming, and vision inspection systems.
Design and implement process engineering solutions for plastics injection molding, welding, fabrication, tooling, and assembly line operations.
Utilize engineering data analysis techniques to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Create detailed schematics, GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) drawings, and electrical schematics for industrial equipment and automation systems.
Manage projects related to factory layout planning, equipment upgrades, tooling development, and process automation while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on industrial engineering projects that improve factory workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.
Support manufacturing troubleshooting efforts by diagnosing mechanical issues using CAD models or schematics and implementing effective solutions swiftly.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing are preferred.
Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a factory environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding, welding techniques, fabrication methods, CNC programming (CNC), CAM programming (CAM), robotics programming, and industrial automation systems.
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo; experience creating schematics and detailed drawings is essential.
Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), vision inspection systems, CNC machines, robotics integration & programming.
Skilled in engineering troubleshooting methods for complex manufacturing equipment issues.
Familiarity with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma to optimize production workflows.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Mechanical knowledge combined with factory experience in assembly lines or industrial equipment maintenance is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills for engineering data analysis to inform process improvements; experience working with ISO 9001 standards is advantageous.
