Enrollment Strategist

Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 per year (base) + uncapped commission

Job Type: Full-time

Shift and Schedule: Monday to Friday. Extended hours during launch seasons (see Schedule below).

About the Role

The Uncommon Business is hiring a full-time, remote Enrollment Strategist to own the closing conversation for warm, pre-qualified leads. This is a quota-carrying sales role, not a scripted call center position. We generate the demand and our AI agent handles first touch, so you focus your time on converting qualified buyers into enrolled students.

You will work live SMS and phone conversations at high volume, handle decision-stage objections, and carry an individual revenue quota with uncapped, revenue-funded commission. If you have a proven close rate and want a role where your closing performance directly drives your earnings, we want to hear from you.

Reports to: Sr. Manager of Sales and Enrollment

Responsibilities

Own assigned enrollment conversations end to end, from lead handoff through payment, converting qualified demand into enrolled students.
Carry an individual revenue quota that phases in after launch (approximately $800K per launch, $1.6M annualized), with uncapped commission.
Handle decision-stage objections across live SMS and phone conversations at high volume.
Maintain accurate CRM records and clean attribution in our sales platform so all closing and lead-source credit stays accurate.
Work alongside a V1 SMS AI agent that manages first touch and early objection handling, taking over conversations mid-thread when a human is needed.
Hold or exceed the team baseline close rate of approximately 59.4% on live conversations.
Flag friction points in the setter-to-closer handoff to Sales Operations before they impact revenue.

Qualifications

Proven experience closing sales across SMS and live phone/video conversations, with a demonstrable close rate (not just activity metrics).
Strong objection-handling skills at the decision stage of the buying process.
Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced sales environment.
An AI- and systems-first mindset, with the ability to work alongside automation tools and pick up AI-handled conversations seamlessly.
Ability to stay composed and consistent during back-to-back sales conversations.
Self-directed approach to tracking your own pipeline, quota, and performance metrics.
Coachability and resourcefulness (our two most valued traits — product depth and our closing methodology are learned on the job).

What Success Looks Like

Ramp Speed: In seat and closing productively before the Fall cart close in mid-to-late October.
Close Rate: Hold or beat the team baseline of approximately 59.4% on live conversations.
Handoff Quality: Run clean setter-to-closer handoffs with full attribution accuracy in the CRM.
Quota Attainment: Once phased in post-launch, meet your individual quota of approximately $800K per launch / $1.6M annualized.

Schedule Expectations

Our launch seasons are high-intensity and fast-paced. Twice per year (10–12 weeks total), team members in launch-critical roles are expected to be available from 7 AM to 7 PM, with additional hours often required for preparation, live event support, and post-launch debriefs.

Outside of launch seasons, the workload is sustainable and strategic, focused on building the systems that strengthen the next launch. This pace suits candidates who thrive in high-accountability, high-impact environments.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary of $80,000 – $90,000 per year
