Overview
Join our team as a Welding Engineer Sales Specialist and become a vital driver of the sales cycle for a manufacturer of metal products, industrial equipment and testing services! In this role, you will combine your technical expertise with your sales acumen to identify customer needs, provide strategic guidance, and deliver the materials and testing services to support customer requirements. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and foster long-lasting client relationships, helping organizations understand welding code requirements and achieve the necessary qualifications to keep their welding activities on schedule. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where technical mastery meets customer engagement, this is the opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact!

Responsibilities

Process customer requests for material, equipment and weld testing services.
Consult with customers to understand order requirements.
Navigate and interpret welding codes such as ASME IX, AWS and API to verify weld qualification requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, process customer orders and purchase orders for materials and services.
Coordinate testing service orders with in-house and outside testing laboratories.
Prepare test reports and related documentation for completed testing services.
Maintain laboratory equipment calibration requirements
Quality records maintenance

Experience

Proven experience in a sales role in Manufacturing, Construction or Welding (Certified Welding Inspector, Welding Engineer, Weld Operations Manager, Metallurgist or similar) industry sectors.
Proficient in various welding processes including SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Organized, highly-motivated and reliable.
AWS Professional Certification is desirable.
Destructive Testing experience is desirable.

Pay: $58,718.50 - $70,714.76 per year
