Position Overview
MorpheusTEK is seeking a highly motivated and technically versatile Sensor Application Engineer to support the growth of our sensing and perception solutions business across North America. This role serves as a critical technical bridge between our products, customers, partners, and internal sales and business development teams.
The Sensor Application Engineer will be responsible for demonstrating, supporting, troubleshooting, and applying MorpheusTEK’s product portfolio, including LiDAR, cameras, safety sensors, and edge computing platforms, across key market verticals such as autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), industrial automation, robotics, logistics, and smart systems.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, building demos, supporting sales efforts, and helping customers successfully deploy advanced sensing technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Expertise & Technical Support
· Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of all MorpheusTEK product lines, including LiDAR, vision systems, safety products, and edge compute platforms.
· Serve as the first line of technical support for hardware and software issues, both remotely and at customer sites.
· Troubleshoot and resolve customer integration, performance, and application issues in a timely and professional manner.
· Create innovative, practical technical solutions on the fly to remove customer obstacles and accelerate project success.
· Provide application guidance and product recommendations tailored to customer use cases and operating environments.
Customer Demos, Exhibitions & Technical Engagement
· Lead customer-facing product demonstrations for North American target markets, including robotics, industrial automation, logistics, manufacturing, and autonomous systems.
· Design, build, and maintain demo systems for LiDAR, cameras, safety sensors, and related compute platforms.
· Support trade shows, exhibitions, customer visits, and partner events by preparing, deploying, and presenting product demonstrations.
· Effectively communicate technical capabilities, application fit, and value propositions of MorpheusTEK solutions to customers and partners.
Sales & Business Development Support
· Partner closely with the Sales and Business Development teams to provide technical support throughout the sales cycle.
· Participate in customer calls, technical discovery meetings, and solution reviews.
· Provide product and application recommendations and assist in solution configuration for customer opportunities.
· Prepare technical quotations and support pricing and proposal development for end customers.
· Act as a trusted technical advisor to help move opportunities from evaluation to deployment.
Technical Marketing & Content Development
· Support technical marketing efforts by showcasing MorpheusTEK’s full product portfolio in a compelling and application-focused manner.
· Write and contribute to technical briefs, application notes, blogs, use cases, and other customer-facing technical content.
· Capture and share valuable market and customer feedback with MorpheusTEK leadership and technology partners to support ongoing product improvement.
· Recommend enhancements to product documentation, including datasheets, user manuals, quick-start guides, and technical resources, to improve customer experience and reduce support friction.
Website, Digital Presence & eCommerce Support
· Support creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the MorpheusTEK website.
· Assist with SEO optimization and technical content updates to improve digital visibility and lead generation.
· Help maintain MorpheusTEK’s eCommerce presence, including website product information and online storefront support such as Roboshop.
· Ensure online technical content is accurate, current, and aligned with product capabilities and market messaging.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
· Graduate to 2 years of technical experience after graduation in hardware and software development, applications engineering, field engineering, technical support, or related roles.
· Strong hands-on experience with both hardware and software systems.
· Working knowledge of C++, Python, ROS / ROS2, and embedded systems.
· Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical and software integration issues in real-world environments.
· Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers, partners, and internal teams.
· Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites, partner locations, and trade shows as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working with LiDAR, machine vision cameras, depth cameras, safety sensors, or industrial automation systems.
· Familiarity with robotics applications such as AMRs, AGVs, SLAM, obstacle detection, machine safety, navigation, and industrial perception systems.
· Experience supporting customer demos, proof-of-concepts, or field deployments.
· Exposure to Linux environments, networking, sensor interfaces, and edge AI or compute platforms.
· Experience with technical writing, content creation, or customer-facing technical documentation.
· Familiarity with website content management, eCommerce product maintenance, or SEO practices is a plus.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
