Summary
The Product Set Up & Syndication Coordinator will support the Product Management team in the execution and coordination of product launches, item setup, packaging projects, retailer systems management, and cross-functional operational processes. This role will serve as a critical operational support function to the Product Manager.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting the product lifecycle through product setup, item creation, and commercialization within a consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, or food manufacturing environment. They should possess experience in the following areas:
- Product setup and item creation.
- Product data management and maintenance of accurate product information.
- Product syndication platforms, such as Syndigo, 1WorldSync, Salsify, or similar systems.
- GS1, GTIN, and UPC creation and management.
- Retailer item setup, retailer portals, and product onboarding processes.
- Product Information Management (PIM) systems.
- Product documentation, specifications, and commercialization support.
- Coordinating cross-functional activities to ensure accurate product setup and successful product launches.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of new product launches from item setup through commercialization.
- Coordinate cross-functional timelines and deliverables related to product launches and item readiness.
- Assist Product Manager with launch documentation, item setup requirements, and retailer onboarding processes.
- Track product launch milestones and communicate status updates across departments.
- Support product transition projects, item changes, discontinuations, and line extensions.
- Manage and maintain retailer item setup platforms and data portals including: Walmart Retail Link / Target Partners Online / 1WorldSync / Syndigo / GS1 systems
- Additional retailer portals and syndication platforms.
- Assist with retailer item submissions, updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure product specifications, dimensions, packaging information, imagery, and nutritional data are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate setup and syndication of product content for retail and e-commerce channels.
- Maintain retailer compliance documentation and item setup accuracy.
- Assist with packaging update projects including specification changes, artwork coordination, and version tracking.
- Coordinate packaging approvals and communication between design, regulatory, QA, packaging vendors, and operations teams.
- Support development and maintenance of product specifications, packaging documentation, and product databases.
- Help manage packaging timelines to support launch deadlines and retailer requirements.
- Coordinate product sample requests and support commercialization readiness activities.
- Maintain accurate product databases, item setup trackers, launch documents, and specification files.
- Organize and maintain packaging archives, retailer forms, UPC information, and product assets.
- Support creation and maintenance of SOPs, process documentation, and workflow tools.
- Assist with reporting, data validation, and operational audits as needed.
- Support invoice processing, project tracking, and vendor coordination related to packaging and product operations.
- Assist with meeting coordination, launch recaps, and internal communications.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in product operations, product coordination, item setup, packaging coordination, retail operations, or CPG product support roles.
- Background in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), food & beverage, retail, or consumer brands strongly preferred.
- Experience with retailer item setup and product syndication platforms requir
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across departments and external partners with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Wrike, or similar platforms preferred.
- Experience managing product documentation, databases, and digital assets.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Food Science, Product Management, or related field preferred.
- MBA (a plus).
