Location: North Shore of Chicago. Must be local and able to visit job sites and attend meetings at our office.

Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial architect to join our team. We are seeking a licensed architect with 5 to 10 years of experience in custom residential architecture. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about creating beautiful, innovative homes, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring design integrity, coordination, and construction quality.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and the internal design team to create beautiful, functional, and innovative residential designs.
Oversee projects from schematic design through construction, ensuring that the design vision is maintained throughout all phases.
Prepare comprehensive and detailed construction documents, including drawings, renderings, specifications, and other materials necessary for the construction process.
Provide technical expertise in construction materials and techniques, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Maintain excellent communication and represent the firm well with all team members, clients, and contractors to facilitate smooth project execution.

Requirements:

5 to 10 years of experience in custom high-end residential architecture.
In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and local building codes, with the ability to produce detailed and accurate construction documents.
Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, contractors, and team members.
Experience managing projects from start to finish, overseeing all aspects of design, documentation, and construction.
Must be licensed in Illinois have professional liability insurance (or be able to get) and authorized to work in the U.S.
Proficiency with architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and the ability to work within a digital project management environment

Compensation:

· Shared percentage of construction cost

Pay: $50,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
