Drive Quality Excellence Across Aerospace Production as an Engineering Associate!

Pay Rate: $50.00/hr

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Associate to support aerospace manufacturing operations by performing Verification of Build (VOB) activities across multiple product lines, including heat exchangers, coolers, fans, actuators, and vapor cycle machines.

This role is ideal for a quality professional with strong auditing, problem-solving, and manufacturing process experience who enjoys working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure products meet stringent aerospace quality requirements.

What You'll Do

Verification of Build (VOB)

Conduct Verification of Build activities across multiple aerospace product lines
Verify manufacturing processes align with engineering requirements and specifications
Identify and document process deviations or quality concerns

Drawing & Process Review

Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
Review manufacturing documentation, process flow diagrams, and quality records
Support compliance with aerospace and customer requirements

Auditing & Quality Assurance

Perform process and manufacturing audits
Evaluate production activities for compliance with established quality standards
Support corrective and preventive action initiatives

Quality & Process Improvement

Utilize problem-solving methodologies to investigate quality issues
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations

Engineering & Production Support

Assist engineers with technical assignments and quality-related projects
Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, and Engineering teams
Support process validation and production readiness activities

Systems & Documentation

Utilize SAP to review, update, and maintain quality records
Prepare reports and documentation to support audits, inspections, and quality initiatives

Required Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, engineering support, or a related field
Strong knowledge of:
- PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- Process Flow Diagrams
- Engineering drawings and GD&T
Auditing experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience using SAP
Ability to work independently under general supervision

Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace manufacturing experience
Experience conducting Verification of Build (VOB) activities
Familiarity with:
- NADCAP special processes
- Quality system requirements
- Manufacturing process validation
Experience supporting products such as:
- Heat exchangers
- Fans
- Coolers
- Actuators
- Vapor cycle machines

Pay Details: $50.00 per hour
