Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This role utilizes both Service Titan and QuickBooks software to ensure all financial transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner. The Bookkeeper supports management by providing reliable financial information and helping maintain strong internal controls.

Responsibilities:

· Exports various financial transactions from Service Titan to QuickBooks

· Reconciles bank account on a daily / monthly basis using bank and payment processor websites

· Monitors company cash flow

· Posts inventory & overhead vendor invoices

· Reconciles vendor statements on a monthly basis

· Issues vendor payments

· Records company credit card activity and reconciles to monthly statement

· Applies customer payments and researches discrepancies

· Follows up with customers regarding past due invoices

· Reviews and sends monthly customer statements

· Prepares and posts monthly journal entries

· Allocates service technician labor costs to the appropriate business units

· Reconciles select balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis

· Prepares & analyzes monthly financial statements in a timely manner

· Prepares Standard Operating Procedures for all Accounting Department tasks

· Handles daily accounting mail, including notices and disbursements

· Coordinates and controls the retention of the firm's accounting records, ensuring that all information is safely stored and available on short notice

· Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by the owners

Experience/Skills Needed:

· Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role. 3-5 years of hands-on, working accounting or bookkeeping experience related to a computerized accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting

· Strong computer proficiency to successfully manage accounting functions in software other than QuickBooks

· College course work in accounting, through intermediate accounting

· Proficiency in using accounting software QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online

· Proficiency using Excel (including Vlookups) and other Microsoft Office applications

· Organizational and time management skills

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

· Ability to work in an independent manner

· Needs to act in a professional manner with co-workers, customers, vendors, and external accountants

· Experience working in a contracting business (Preferred)

· Experience using Service Titan software (Preferred)

· Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts (Preferred)

· Payroll processing experience (Preferred)
