Accounts Payable Assistant - HYBRID | $1,235.50/WK on W2 | New York, NY (5 Openings)!

CWS Health is currently seeking for 5 experienced Accounts Payable Assistants to support a leading healthcare insurance organization in New York City.

Qualified profiles are expected to move quickly!

Position Details:

Title: Accounts Payable Assistant (Healthcare Claims)
Department: Claims Operations
Type: Local W2 Contract (Hybrid)
Duration: 8 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Openings: 5 Positions
Shift: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours/Week
Start Date: 08/03/2026 & Later

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED - Required
Associate Degree - Preferred
Minimum 2 Years of Healthcare Claims Processing Experience - Required
Knowledge of Medical Claims Adjudication
Experience with HCFA and UB-04 Claim Forms
Working Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, Revenue Codes, and Medical Terminology
Experience with Claims Processing Systems
Strong Data Entry, Analytical, and Problem-Solving Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PC Applications
Experience with CRM Systems (Salesforce Preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Research, review, and process healthcare claims
Analyze claim payment accuracy and perform claim adjustments
Process provider claims and resolve payment discrepancies
Review medical documentation and coding information
Maintain accurate records and production standards
Communicate with providers regarding claim status and required documentation
Support audits and ensure compliance with healthcare payment guidelines

Compensation:

Local W2: Up to $1,235.50/Week ($35.30/hr)
