Full Job Description

We are seeking experienced Claims Examiners, Claims Processors, Medical Claims Specialists, Claims Analysts, Healthcare Insurance Representatives, and Medical Billing professionals to join a leading health plan in New York City.

Position Details

Location: Hybrid – New York, NY 10004
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 35 hours/week
Hybrid Schedule: 2 days onsite per week (Tues/Fri)
Duration: Contract with high potential for quarterly extensions

Responsibilities

Process and adjudicate medical and surgical provider claims
Perform high-volume, accurate data entry
Review claims for completeness, coding, and payment accuracy
Research and resolve claims processing discrepancies
Apply healthcare claims processing policies and procedures
Interpret and utilize CPT, ICD, and Revenue Codes
Communicate with providers to obtain additional documentation
Meet established production and quality standards

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of healthcare insurance claims processing experience
Experience with integrated claims processing
Strong data entry and computer skills
Knowledge of:
Medical Terminology
CPT Codes
ICD Codes
Revenue Codes
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
