Full Job Description

Pay: $32.00–$38.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Type: Full-time or part-time
Work Location: Remote

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Client Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly accounting responsibilities for a portfolio of small and midsize business clients.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in QuickBooks Online, can manage multiple clients and deadlines, and has the accounting knowledge to identify and resolve problems rather than simply process transactions.

Responsibilities

· Manage bookkeeping for an assigned portfolio of clients

· Record and review bank and credit card transactions

· Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Reconcile bank, credit card, payroll, loan, and balance sheet accounts

· Prepare payroll and other recurring journal entries

· Complete monthly close procedures

· Prepare monthly financial statements

· Research and correct accounting discrepancies

· Maintain organized supporting documentation

· Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve questions

· Follow established workflows, deadlines, and quality-control procedures

Qualifications

· Four or more years of bookkeeping or accounting experience

· Three or more years of QuickBooks Online experience

· Strong knowledge of account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting

· Experience completing monthly closes and preparing financial statements

· Ability to manage multiple clients or companies at the same time

· Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills

· Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication

· Ability to work independently in a remote environment

· Authorization to work in the United States

Experience with an accounting firm, CAS practice, or outsourced bookkeeping company is strongly preferred. QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification is also preferred.
