Job Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Cloud Architect supporting USPACOM J6 enterprise IT, mission partner interoperability, and Pacific theater operations. GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career.

Our work depends on a Cloud Architect joining our team to support USPACOM J6 mission outcomes through it modernization project support, modernization, secure integration, and operational collaboration across the Pacific.

GDIT is seeking a Cloud Architect to support USPACOM J6 IT Modernization Project Support activities at Camp Smith, HI, helping modernize enterprise IT capabilities and strengthen mission partner interoperability across the Pacific.

How the Cloud Architect Will Make an Impact

Support IT modernization projects from requirements definition through planning, integration, testing, and transition.
Collaborate with technical teams to mature prototypes, modernization sprints, and enterprise capability improvements.
Develop cloud and hybrid-cloud architecture recommendations that support secure modernization and mission scalability.
Coordinate cloud design decisions with cybersecurity, network, application, and infrastructure stakeholders.
Collaborate with USPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, mission partners, and GDIT team members to resolve technical challenges.
Prepare clear technical documentation, briefings, status inputs, and recommendations for customer and internal leadership.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Education: Technical training, certification(s) or degree.
Required Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience supporting the role, mission area, or equivalent DoD/enterprise IT environment.
Required Technical Skills: cloud architecture; secure cloud migration; hybrid cloud design; automation; security and compliance; modernization roadmaps.
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret
Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, technical writing, customer engagement, and ability to coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and mission partner teams.
Preferred Skills: Experience supporting USPACOM, combatant command, service component, or joint/coalition mission environments. Experience working in government site environments and coordinating with military and civilian stakeholders. Cloud certification from AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or DoD cloud ecosystem experience.
Location: On customer site at Camp Smith, HI.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $169,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
